Scholarship applications are accepted after March 15th. Students must be 21 years of age or older to apply for most scholarships, and all students will be notified by email when applications are available.
All scholarship deadlines are April 15th. Selection criteria includes a student’s BSL academic record and financial need. Selections are made by a review of applications.
Scholarships are awarded at the Graduation Banquet in May for the upcoming semesters.
Available to law enforcement personnel enrolled in a minimum of three (3) classes per semester. Pays tuition and fees for three subsequent semesters, beginning in summer.
Pays an annual $500 award to a student who plans to become a plaintiff trial attorney. ****
Honors the memory of Judge Leigh M. Clark, an outstanding jurist and professor of torts for 50 years at the Birmingham School of Law. Pays tuition, fees, and books for two semesters.
Pays $500 to a female student who has given time and energy to the community in general, (or specifically through the legal service) to better the lives of women. ****

**** PLEASE NOTE: THE FUNDING OF ALL SCHOLARSHIPS IS AN ANNUAL EVENT. SO, ESPECIALLY IN THE CASE OF “ALABAMA ASSOCIATION FOR JUSTICE AWARD” &”WOMEN’S SERVICE AWARD” SCHOLARSHIPS, THERE IS A CHANCE THAT IN ANY GIVEN YEAR THEY MAY NOT BE FUNDED. STUDENTS WILL BE INFORMED PRIOR TO THE DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOLARSHIPS IF THESE SCHOLARSHIPS HAVE BEEN FUNDED.
