9/16/2008 - Driver Abstracts for both the Student Bar Application & Application to take Bar
**Important Change for your Student Bar Application & Application to take the Bar. [This change has just taken place.]
The Alabama Department of Public Safety now has a form for the driver abstract. You can access the form by following the directions below. The driver abstracts are now mailed directly to the Alabama State Bar. You must complete the form and mail along with an addressed stamped envelope to the Alabama State Bar along with a cashier's check or money order made payable to the Alabama Department of Public Safety in the amount of $15.00. NO PERSONAL CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH.
•1. Go to http://www.dps.state.al.us/
•2. On the Left side of the screen, click on "Driver's License Forms"
•3. Scroll to the bottom and click on "State BAR Abstract Request"
•4. Follow the directions on the form.
