The A+ College Ready organization rented space in the Birmingham School of Law building for four days of meetings in mid-September.
A+ College Ready works to dramatically increase the number of students in Alabama taking math, science, English, and social studies Advanced Placement (AP) courses. It also works to expand computer science principles to prepare more students for 21st Century careers. A+ College Ready also helps students earn qualifying scores on AP exams and provides information for attending college and succeeding in their education goals. It also supports teachers in their quest to provide educational opportunities that will help the students realize their goals.
“We are happy to share our space with this organization whose goals are to enhance the educational opportunities for students and to equip and empower teachers,” says Scott Garrett, Associate Dean.
