The Birmingham office of Christian & Small LLP is currently accepting resumes for a litigation paralegal. This position will be responsible for supporting attorneys in the various aspects of litigation related to case preparation, management, and execution.
Responsibilities include: Review and index document productions; draft and manage discovery; manage case management matrix; review and summarize medical records; prepare, serve and manage subpoenas; research social media civil and criminal backgrounds; manage key documents for witness interviews, deposition and trials; and assist with deposition, trial and mediation preparation.
Extensive computer, software and database expertise is strongly desired. Document management software, Pacer, Alacourt, and Westlaw experience required. Candidate must be extremely detail oriented, effectively manage multiple deadlines, and be a dependable team player with the ability to work independently. Excellent organizational skills, strong writing and communication skills, along with attention to detail are required.
Applicants must have 5+ years of litigation experience and be able to meet a billing requirement of 125 hours per month. Business & Commercial Litigation, Insurance, Insurance Coverage, Product Liability and Transportation experience a plus. A Paralegal certificate and/or college degree is also strongly preferred.
